Our Managers lead a dedicated and highly skilled staff of qualified registered nurses and health care assistants. The nurses and carers receive regular training to ensure they fulfil their roles to the highest standard and are able to provide the best possible care for our residents.

To ensure that residents feel at home with us, and to encourage individuals to continue to enjoy life’s pleasures as much as they feel able to, we also have full-time activities co-ordinators, talented catering teams across both homes, and hospitality staff.

Job Description: Health Care Assistant

Carey Care is seeking an experienced, compassionate and dedicated Healthcare Assistant or to join our team at Hill House in Kenley. The successful candidate will play a vital role in providing high-quality care to residents in a care home setting, ensuring their comfort, dignity, and well-being. This position requires strong communication skills, the ability to follow care plans, and a commitment to delivering exceptional home care services.

Responsibilities

  • Assist residents with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, dressing, and mobility support.
  • Implement and follow individual care plans tailored to each resident’s needs.
  • Maintain accurate records of care provided and report any changes in residents’ conditions to senior staff.
  • Support residents in social activities and encourage participation in community events.
  • Ensure a clean and safe environment by adhering to health and safety regulations.
  • Communicate effectively with residents, families, and other healthcare professionals to provide holistic care.
  • Assist with administrative tasks as required, including data entry and IT-related duties.

Requirements

  • Previous experience in a care home or home care setting is preferred but not essential.
  • Strong communication skills in English are required for effective interaction with residents and team members.
  • Basic IT skills for maintaining records and using healthcare software applications.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team while also demonstrating initiative when required.
  • A genuine passion for providing compassionate care and supporting the elderly or those in need of assistance.
