Respite Care provides short-term relief to those who are caring for family members and loved ones, helping to prepare people to move back into their homes, usually after a period in hospital. It can often be used as a trial period for residents requiring either residential or nursing care, before considering a more permanent stay in one of our homes, and can be as little as a week, up to a few months.
Our day care offering provides an opportunity for a person to come into the care home to utilise the support from our team and brings companionship and wellbeing, whether that be personal care, taking part in daily activities, or enjoying dining with other residents.
Whether using our Respite or Day care services, residents will have access to our experienced CQC registered managers and a dedicated and highly skilled team of registered nurses and carers to support their needs. They will make every effort to ensure any stay with us is as comfortable and pleasurable as possible.
“I visited many care homes before choosing Hill House Care Home. As soon as I went in there, I knew it was the one. There is a lovely atmosphere – very warm and friendly. The staff are wonderful and so helpful, I can’t thank them enough for the way they look after my husband. I also think the activities they provide are so good and varied – something for everybody.”
We are extremely proud of the level of Care offered at our Homes, with a high ratio of nurses and carers per resident. Typically, we have a ratio of 1 carer for every 4 residents, supported by a dedicated nurse on each floor. We also manage these ratios depending on the Care requirements of our residents.
In addition to daily life within our care homes, we also offer residents the following services, as required: GP’s, physiotherapy; domiciliary dentist; optician; chiropody; church ministers; alternative therapies; newspapers; and hairdressing.
