NURSING & DEMENTIA CARE

At Carey Care Homes we specialise in providing 24-hour Nursing and Dementia Care to meet the medical and non-medical requirements of residents who are no longer able to look after themselves or be supported at home, over a sustained period of time.

Whilst in our care, residents are supported by our experienced CQC registered managers, and a dedicated and highly skilled team of registered nurses and carers, with detailed knowledge and training in complex health and nursing requirements. They will make every effort to ensure any stay with us is as comfortable and pleasurable as possible.

From your initial visit, our staff will begin to form a picture of the type of care required. Together, we will create a personalised plan supported by an initial assessment and, if appropriate, a hospital visit to understand any specific medical requirements the resident may have prior to admission.

“I do not know what we would have done without the caring, compassionate support of all the staff at Hill House over the last year. They tackle each issue as it arises with professionalism and a warm, caring attitude that makes the fragile situation my dear aunt is in more bearable. We are so grateful and owe them so much.”

Being a family-run business for the past 70 years has enabled us to develop and sustain a unique level of care for our residents and their families. We often welcome multiple generations of the same family into our homes and are well-established within the borough of Croydon and throughout Surrey.

We are extremely proud of the level of Care offered at our Homes, with a high ratio of nurses and carers per resident. Typically, we have a ratio of 1 carer for every 4 residents, supported by a dedicated nurse on each floor. We also manage these ratios depending on the Care requirements of our residents.

SPECIALIST NURSING CARE

Both of our homes provide 24-hour Nursing Care for residents, but we also specialise in the following specific areas of Care

Providing specific medical care and nursing intervention to those who are suffering from serious illness, helping to maintain the highest quality of life during this time. This is an area of specialisation in our homes, with a dedicated Palliative Care Lead offering support to residents and relatives who need it.
Giving comfort and a preferred place of care for residents at the end of their life, avoiding the need for hospital admission. We are accredited with Platinum status under the Gold Standards Framework and are very proud to have been awarded Care Home of the Year for End of Life Care in the 2022 GSF awards.
